Salman Ghazali

SALMAN GHAZALI, 42, is one of the Directors of FGV Dairy Farm.

Salman received his secondary education at the Royal Military College (RMC) before receiving the Yayasan Sime Darby (YSD) scholarship award to read Accounting & Finance at the London School of Economics & Political Science, London, United Kingdom (LSE) and holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Accounting & Finance from LSE.

Salman started his career as an Executive in Sime Darby Plantation Sdn Bhd (SDP) in 2005 and has since accumulated 15 years of experience in strategy, investment management, private equity, business banking, corporate finance, and business development.

In 2007, he moved to the Managing Director’s Office in SDP as Senior Executive and rose to become Assistant Vice President I – Corporate Finance in the Strategy and Business Development department. While in SDP, he was assigned to PEMANDU’s National Key Economic Area (NKEA) in 2010 where he became Head of the Palm Oil Food & Health-based Downstream Sector team. He was then seconded to Emery Oleochemicals, which is a 50:50 joint venture company between SDP and PTT Global Chemical, as Manager in the Global Strategy department. He left Emery Oleochemicals and SDP in December 2011.

In 2012, he joined Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) as Head of Commercial Analyst in the Executive Vice President’s Office before joining Khazanah Nasional Berhad as Vice President of Investments and Special Officer to the Chief Investment Officer.

In 2015, Salman became Managing Partner of RM Capital Partners & Associates Sdn Bhd, one of the largest boutique private equity firms in Malaysia, until August 2018. Prior to joining FGV Holdings Berhad in September 2019, he was Head of the Business Banking Division in Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad.  On 13 September 2019, he was appointed as the Group Chief Strategy Officer of FGV Holdings Berhad.
