Buttermilk Fried Chicken
Ingredients
Wet Ingredients
- 1 1/2 kg chicken, cut in 8 pieces
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1 tsp ground dried herbs (oregano, thyme, rosemary, sage)
- 2 cups of Bright Cow Buttermilk
Seasoned Flour
- 12 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne
- 1/2 tsp white pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
Method
- Mix all the wet ingredients in a bowl and marinate the chicken inside the mixture for 4 hours
- Give a quick mix of the seasoned flour ingredients.
- Slightly drain the chicken from the Bright Cow Buttermilk mixture and dredge the chicken with the seasoned flour.
- Fried in 350 degree oil for around 20 minutes or until golden brown.
