Buttermilk Fried Chicken

Ingredients

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 kg chicken, cut in 8 pieces
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper
  • 1 tsp ground dried herbs (oregano, thyme, rosemary,  sage)
  • 2 cups of Bright Cow Buttermilk

Seasoned Flour

  • 12 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
Method
  1. Mix all the wet ingredients in a bowl and marinate the chicken inside the mixture for 4 hours
  2. Give a quick mix of the seasoned flour ingredients.
  3. Slightly drain the chicken from the Bright Cow Buttermilk mixture and dredge the chicken with the seasoned flour.
  4. Fried in 350 degree oil for around 20 minutes or until golden brown.
